So, the wedding is done, life is back to something resembling normal, and it’s time that things changed a little around here.
First of all, things are looking a little differently! This is the first theme I’ve designed in almost a year and a half. It took longer than I expected, since I’m a little rusty when it comes to CSS and HTML, but I’m really happy with how pretty things are now!
Second, as you’ll be seeing over the coming weeks, I’m going to try to stick to a more regular posting schedule. I have a few posts lined up already and I’m really excited to share them with you.
Finally, the direction of Bookish is going to change a little bit. It’ll still be mainly a personal blog, but I’m going to be talking a bit more about my writing. It’s a big, very serious part of my life now, and I’m very excited to blog about it. I’m hoping to finish Flightless by the fall and start querying agents by the end of the year, and I have two more projects that are begging for attention.
So. As part of taking writing more seriously, I’m going to take another stab at ROW80. The next round starts Monday and I’m very excited and I hope it’ll help me get lot accomplished. Part of ROW80 is setting a list of goals, so here are mine:
- Stick to my writing schedule – 1000 words a day on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and aim for 500 on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays.
- Stick to my blogging schedule – at least check in on Sundays and Wednesdays and my weekly themed post.
- Finish the rewrite of Flightless.
- Submit my grad school application so I can start classes in the fall.
I’m very excited to get started! If you’re interested in taking part in this round of ROW80, head on over to the website and sign up.
