ROW80 Check-in: I’ve actually made my word count goal every day this week! 😀 😀 And after a long talk over Vietnamese food Monday night, Eric has helped me realize that it’s okay to add in another point of view. Which means that things have just gotten SO MUCH BETTER. Ahh.
Okay, so I don’t have that big huge everything that’s going on in my life post ready for you. I KNOW. I KNOW. I’m sorry. I’m still not 100% health wise (this cough just won’t go away!) and I’ve been putting most of my spare time into either writing or thinking about wedding stuff. One of those things is actually productive. The other … not so much, considering we don’t even have a date set yet. We want to wait until Eric graduates from Georgetown, which will happen next May. (CAN YOU BELIEVE that he’s halfway through with grad school already? CRAZINESS. I feel like we just MOVED here and now he’s already halfway to a master’s degree. Insane.) So we’re leaning towards next fall (which we both want), but we also have to have some big talks about when exactly, since our original idea of October 6 is out, considering half of Eric’s family are farmers and well, October is BUSY. And that would just be terrible if they couldn’t make it. But we’d both be okay with June or late May. Memorial Day weekend is looking EXCELLENT. We just have to find a venue that will have us. 🙂
Someone asked us if we’d just get married on our anniversary – which is technically the day we met, the first day of Freshman Orientation at OSU, since we’ve been inseparable since then and never technically had a “first date”. I have no desire to be a melting puddle of goo in a DC summer on our wedding day, but it just so happens that July 28, 2012 is actually a Saturday, so we’ll see.
At the same time, though, it’d be weird to have another anniversary. By that time, we’ll have been together for SIX YEARS. Do we just not count them? Do we just start over because we’re married? I don’t know! Ahh!
BUT. If anyone is interested, I’ve started a pinboard of inspiration-y pictures for the wedding. Because, you guys, I am SO EXCITED that in roughly 12 months I’ll be married to my best friend. Ahh.
