Soooooooo the most important thing I’ve learned about this indie publishing adventure is that some thing are 100% out of your control. Things like paperback distribution, for example. I was warned about this–sometimes it can take 2-4 weeks for things to show up in the places they’re supposed to.
So imagine my surprise when my paperback showed up in four days? Yeah.
(ignore the part where it says Feb 5–that’s the date I approved the initial proof. Createspace is weird.)
Anyway, the first inkling I had that the paperback was available came when one of my netgalley reviewers linked to the book at Barnes & Noble. And then I got an email from a friend with their reciept from Amazon. And then, well, you know the rest.
SO! Long story short–the ebook release is still set for April 28, but for those of you who prefer paper copies, you’re in luck! You can order it RIGHT NOW.
Alternatively, if you’re in DC and coming to my launch party on April 29 at One More Page, you can wait and buy a copy there. That way you’re not only supporting me, but my favorite indie bookstore in Arlington!
I shared the news on Facebook and Twitter this morning, and to my COMPLETE SHOCK, this happened by 3:00pm:
Go, little book, go!
